A Legacy Captured

The owner during this period had a different primary career but was an avid hunter, chef, and entertainer. Hospitality became a primary point of emphasis for the property on any big weekend of the fall football and hunting seasons and into the present day.

The property is still family-owned and used as a friends and family sporting club and the timber forest is still cared for on behalf of the current generation. Memories and good food are bountiful and the atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and steeped in family tradition.

As the farm passed into its next pair of caring hands, Creek Stand Land Company was formed; inspired by the pursuit of dreams to create and operate sporting clubs and forest management in honor of previous generations.

Creek Stand Land Company came to life with the transition of another hunting season and a 4th generation has assumed the management reins of the now-century-old legacy, family farm, and sporting club business.

We are excited to share our 100+ years of family tradition with you and hope to enjoy the great outdoors together!

This legacy is the core value behind Creek Stand Land Company, and the roots run deep.

The Inspiration behind Creek Stand Land Co.

Just as the rings within every tree tell the story of lifetimes, it seems fitting that an item so deeply rooted in the forest would also become a memory framed in wood.

This photo is an original tree farm boundary marker from the early 1900s, just like the ones found on the current farm near Creek Stand, Alabama.

The original family land was home to a Lumber Company until the early 1980s. At this point, there was a slight shift and the farm was operated with a more defined focus as a family & friends sporting club. The timber farm was maintained as supplemental revenue, one of several enjoyment returns from this property.

Creek Stand Land Company is comprised of three main ingredients & strengths, handed down, which center around unique family experiences, from one generation to the next.

1. Land:  Large tracts of land are a limited, natural resource.   Creek Stand maintains distinct stewardship and conservationist principles for these unique assets which we have the unique privilege to acquire, manage and enhance while in our care and on behalf of our stakeholders.

2. Habitat:  Competition for space and food is a reality of our growing population.  Space to roam is at a premium.  Our team brings unique experience and perspective to enhancing and protecting the natural habitats for the benefit of the wildlife and our stakeholder members to enjoy and flourish.

3. Hospitality:  Building relationships and loving our neighbors are core tenets for happiness and a life well lived.  Creek Stand takes pride and care in the environments we are provided & entrusted to protect.  Responsible and tasteful food, beverage and entertainment, in the great outdoors, is a central theme for our corporate existence!  These are gifts, talents and experiences we desire to share with our friends.

Family resides in the center and is the heartbeat of our collective focus!
